Juani Feliz was born in the Dominican Republic and raised in the Bronx. Juani started acting at the age of 14 after appearing in his first school play. Juani got her first TV role at the age of 15 in Law & Order: Criminal Intent. When Juani graduated from high school and studied biomedical engineering at Harvard University, her acting career took a backseat.
After college, Juani worked at the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering in Boston, where Feliz worked on clinical trials for a melanoma cancer vaccine and helped develop biomaterials and drug delivery systems. During this time, Feliz also completed a master’s degree from Harvard. Despite his career in bioengineering, Feliz resumed acting in 2016.
